Jamba Juice!
Let's get one thing clear - we love Jamba Juice! We don't drink coffee at all; Jamba is our love! Joseph doesn't drink juice but when we go to Jamba Juice, it is a special treat. I love these photos because he was so happy to have his first very own cup of Jamba Juice. He just walked all over the place not letting it out of his hands. The borders on the bottom are very old - one of the first Close to My Heart items I ever made at my very first scrapbook party I attended and I've never found a reason until now to use them!
Aquarium
I did this page a few weeks ago at a crop in Reno. This is from our trip to the Aquarium in June with Kelli, Leah, and Lorene. What fun!

Boys Scrapbooking
Joseph has had a fascination with everything we are doing lately and since I've been working on the invitations, he wants to help! Robert was setting eyelets and Joseph wanted to help so here they are practicing. Too cute!
Vegas BABY!
I've hit a snag recently with my paper crafting. I had a week set aside to work on these inviations but ran into a family crisis and haven't had time for much of anything. I'm catching up though on the invitations with some help from Robert! Who knew he'd be a master with glitter!? The word, "baby" is solid glitter and the photo doesn't do it justice at all. I have to reprint the inserts because I printed the wrong date!! But they are super cute and even though they've been a labor of love, I'm really happy I did these. They are a one-of-a-kind!

Journaling Slump?
Two Peas Challenge:
When I'm in a journaling slump, I will write one word phrases or little tid-bits on the matting that is around the photo. In the layout below, I cut a small strip and wrote quick journaling on that.

I met a scrapper today
more pages from the big first birthday party
Today I was at this thing for breastfeeding and I casually brought up that I am into scrapbooking. I was talking about how it's pretty much the "getaway" time I take from being with my little one. She was there because she's a doula and basically attending for the breastfeeding information but it turns out she is a scrapbooking consultant! Yeah! That's always neat to find someone who shares the same hobby or passion!
Anyway...here's some photos of a layout I finished today... I know they're kind of bad photos but my normal camera is in the car and it's too cold to go get it!

Write It or Type It?
So the question is this:
Do you tend to do more hand or computer journaling?
I really don't like my handwriting so I do a lot of computer journaling. However, if it's something quick and simple, I'll write it out. I love looking at handwriting from my mom, grandma, and other family members. I love it how I can just glance at something and know immediately who wrote it. I can even copy their style of writing, but I feel like my writing is always different. I do like to write though because I want people to someday look at it and feel the way I do when I see something hand-written by my grandma who is no longer with us.

BackYard Paradise
Here is it! My favorite layout for the moment... I started out somewhat frustrated with the strange photo selection but I wanted to show the food and activities from my son's party. I also loved the photo of Grandpa Gary at the open grill. I just adore that photo of him. I also wanted to show my huge plate of kabobs since I was up the night before getting splinters galore!
Creative Roll
I'm on this creative roll with a page I'm working on and even though I don't want to stop, it is so late and I can't even keep concentrating the way I should. I have this vision of 12x12 pages all in the same paper theme for my son's 1st birthday party photos. So far I've completed two layouts - Baby's First Cake, and Opening Gifts. This next one I'm working on started out to be a frustrating project because of my photo options but it's turning out to be one of my all-time favorite creations. I can't wait to get it done and posted. The subject of this layout is Back Yard Paradise and showcases photos of the food and activites we had at the party. I'm loving the paper .... Laid Back by Close to My Heart ... and how it goes so well with the Hawaiian theme of my son's party. Can't wait to share the finished project!!
